The winery dates back to the 18th century. Although our winemaking tradition dates further back, it was in 1760 when our forefathers founded the business.

The great wealth of our winery is the legacy of our ancestors: The land and most ideal hybrids, which they selected as time went by.
The founder, Antonio Hernández, began making grapes into wine, and dug out the underground wine cellar by hand, the site where the current cellar is found today. In those caves, which still exist today, but which are no longer used as they were in the past, large wooden vats were fitted with capacity of between 5,000 and 6,000 litres. The vats were so large that they had to be built inside the caves.
